Floatwing Can Be Transported To Lakes And Rivers Anywhere
Floatwing is a romantic, luxurious, floating abode created by the talented "Team Friday" from the University of Coimbra in Portugal.
The team released images of their prefabricated floating home capable of being deployed to lakes and waterways throughout the world.
Coined 'Floatwing' , the house is designed to be eco-friendly and self-sustainable for up to seven days at a time.
Floatwing has a fixed width but is modular and it's length can be varied from 10 to 18 metres. So, Floatwing can be used as a cosy floating studio or a three bedroom houseboat for your family. The possibilities are endless!.
The interiors are simply beautiful. Check out this fully equipped kitchen and dining area.
Team Friday brings together a wide range of skills and are focused on creating technologically advanced nautical and water related leisure devices and equipment, which also includes a two person submarine.
The modular nature of Floatwing means that even with all it's furniture, it can be stored easily in 2 shipping containers and sent anywhere in the world.
Solar panels can be attached to the roof of this building, potentially supplying up to 100% of the power needs of the occupant, dependent on usage and amount of sun.
Water is be stored in a large container which holds up to a seven day supply.
Waste water is stored and treated in a waste water treatment plant (WWTP) and does not get directly released into the waterways.
A pellet stove heater burns compressed wood or biomass pellets.
These features mean that Floatwing can be deployed away from the shore line for up to 7 days at a time.
With two onboard motors, Floatwing moves at a moderate 3 knots but who cares how fast it goes?
Floatwing would be great for a base camp for numerous outdoor activities including, sailing, water skiing or fishing. So, its all about relaxation and leisure.

The wood burning stove is the cherry on the cake here.

The Home From Home Yacht with a Garden
This beautifully streamlined Yacht, is a concept that combines both architecture and luxury Yacht design.
The general premise of this yacht is that it is not only a yacht, but a place of residency, hence it's name, "Your Yacht, Your House."
This yacht has some amazingly unique features, like a sleek, roof of solar panels and a cozy little garden in the back. Yes, you heard right, A garden... on a boat.
The garden in the sea
'your yacht, your house' comes with an almost red carpet esque garden walkway centered at the stern, creating a much more homely look and feel.
Zhivov had this to say about his design concept, when unveiling it to www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk.
'...As it passes, the open stern evokes scenery not unfamiliar to a small suburban home.'
And he wasn't kidding, check it out in the pictures below.
As you can see, there is also a generous mooring bay for smaller boats, the length of this space isn't disclosed, But it is enough to fit in 2, possibly 3 small motor boats, which seems more than adequate enough to us.
The platforms themselves may also be for balance purposes in the water.
stylishly covered in solar panels
These rough sketches give a little insight into the ideas and general style that Maxim hopes to create with this Floating home. You can see all the technicalities of the yacht, such as the folding out deck at the bow and the cover at the stern.
But the defining feature of this glorious yacht, is it's entire top half of solar panels, in a streamline arrow shape. allowing it to cut through co2 emissions as well as cut through the sea with ease.
Have a look at the 3D rendering of the yacht below for a better idea of how this awesome Yacht will work and what it's features are.
The Yacht has a couple of cool additions as seen above, such as;
- an unfolding deck at the bow,
- a raising 'sun roof' type bridge area,
- an unfolding cover at the stern to provide shade and shelter.
Maxim zhivov is a concept designer from Russia. He has created other yacht concepts such as Serene, the 'ultimate' superyacht.
Zhivov's ultimate floating home looks both artistic and strong in it's design and although it is not on the market just yet, here at www.Lovelydwelling.com, we look forward to seeing just how spectacular this floating home will be in real life, and we hope you do to.

are you looking to get away from it all?
Well then this spectacular floating home, from the team at ecofloat is something you're going to want to see.
Just look at those flowers, the reflection of the home in the water.
This floating home has many large windows that almost reach from the ground to the ceiling. Something of a must in a smaller sized living area as it maximizes the light but also makes the space feel larger.
But this getaway doesn't just look good on the outside. The interior of this floating home is one of bespoke style. Leather sofas, mute colors and rustic wooden perfectly imperfect walls, create a general feel that makes you want to sit down with a glass of whiskey and smile while contemplating life.
At ecofloat, there is a massive push to provide eco friendly homes and other projects. They design and create both commercial projects and custom floating homes for anyone. (In the UK... sorry you guys in the US.)
These floating homes, are like the tiny houses of the sea!
